Hydraulic slide-out systems use fluid pressure to extend and retract heavy slide rooms. These systems require specialized knowledge of hydraulic pumps, cylinders, valves, and fluid management. Hydraulic System Components

• Hydraulic pump — Generates fluid pressure to move cylinders. Pump failure is the most common hydraulic issue.
• Cylinders — Convert fluid pressure to linear motion. Leaking seals or bent rods cause failure.
• Control valves — Direct fluid flow to the correct cylinder. Stuck valves prevent slide movement.
• Fluid reservoir — Low fluid level can indicate a leak somewhere in the system.
